RIVER TRIPS!!!


                              

River Trips begin May 28th, 2022 this year and run 7 days a week through Labor Day Weekend . See below for trip descriptions, costs, and departure times.
 
Our river trips are ran out of the Oak Harbor location only. 

Reservations are highly recommended for the river trips, but we will take walk ins if we have the room. Just give us a call to make a reservation.

Please arrive at least 15-30 minutes before the start of the trip to prepare your belongings and fill out your waivers. If you show up late or when its time to depart it puts us behind the rest of the day. Depending on business, we may or may not wait for you.

You will come to our Oak Harbor location and we will shuttle you upstream 4 or 9 miles and you will paddle back to the Oak Harbor livery where your car is parked. This way you never have to wait to be picked up. 



 

Oak Harbor River Trips:

Trip 1 - 590 Bridge to Oak Harbor Livery

Description: For this trip we drop you off at the 590 bridge and you paddle back to the Oak Harbor livery. This is our shortest outing on the Portage and our most popular trip. This is a perfect trip for beginners or parents with young children and people who may be slighly anxious about kayaking or canoeing. 

Trip Length: 4 River Miles

Estimated Time of Trip: 1.5 - 3 hours

Launch Times: 10am, 11am, 12pm, 1pm, 2pm, 3pm, & 4pm

Cost: $32/per person

Trip  2 - Riverbend Park, Elmore Ohio to Oak Harbor Livery

Description: For this trip we drop you off at Riverbend Park in Elmore, Ohio and you paddle back to the Oak Harbor livery. This is hands down our most scenic & our favorite trip we offer on the Portage. The river winds and bends more on this trip than any other and offers the best uncrowded section of the Portage River. You may have to portage occasionally a couple of times depending on the water levels. If water levels get to shallow we may suspend this trip.

Trip Length: 9 River Miles

Estimated Time of Trip: 4 - 5.5 hours

Launch Times: 10am, 11am, 12pm, 1pm, & 2pm

Cost: $42/ per person
